Key Biscayne

Located on a barrier island across the Rickenbacker Causeway from Miami, the municipality of Key Biscayne is a popular tourist destination. It is sandwiched between two large parks, Crandon Park and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, both of which have long, sheltered beaches, mangroves, and tropical forest that is home to a variety of species of birds and loggerhead turtles. Crandon Park has long, sheltered beaches, mangroves, and tropical forest. The latter is the site of the Cape Florida Lighthouse, which dates back to the nineteenth century.
